On-Page SEO is nothing rather than a website implementation strategies to optimize position of a website in search engine results of particular words or phases known as keywords etc. Here we mostly take care of post content with Keyword target. Well the answer is quite simple as to boost your blog posts in 1st page of search engines. So when we do On-Page SEO optimization of post, it means we follow certain set of proven method to rank on Google. Now ranking in Google, doesn’t only consider On page SEO score, but it also take care of many factors like Social media exposure, backlinks and many off page factor. Thus by doing On-Page SEO or targeting a long tail keyword, we can easily get the top rankings in Google and Bing search engine. 13 Great On-Page SEO Optimization tips and techniques for 2013:
1. Post/Page Title
Your blog post/page titles are one of the most important On-Page SEO factors on your website. Each of your pages & posts should have its own unique title, which includes only the main keywords for that page. Try to make is short and meaningful.
2. Post Permalink
Your Post permalink also known as URL structure should be neat and clean, I mean that it should consists of only popular keywords not unnecessary keywords like is, or, the, and etc. Make sure to follow a pretty permalink instead of random strings in your permalink.
3. Meta Description
Well this is main part of SEO consultancy or On-Page Settings. These descriptions are an important place to include relevant keywords for your content, as these are used within the search results when your page is listed. So please don’t forget to include them otherwise search engine robots will pick up randomly any keywords from starting paragraph of your blog post. Best limit for meta description length is to extend up to 160 characters including spaces.
4. Meta Keywords
For each of your pages or posts, you can include a set of keywords in the form of meta tags. These should be all the relevant keywords of your content, which you will have researched previously. Limit it up to 3-5 keywords.
5. Keyword Density
Now without Ideal keyword density, your posts is no more in search results. Hence to rank higher in SERPS, your post must include some special keywords whose density remains up to 3-5%. This is best and recommended by top bloggers for On-Page SEO. You should be using your main keyword once in first paragraph and then in the last paragraph apart from regular use in blog post content.
6. Keywords in Bold/Italic and Underlined
Now you can use bold, italic and underline styles to highlight important keywords and phrases in your blog post in order to attract the attention of Search Engines. This will also helps you to gain readers attention.
7. Post Length
I am again and always saying that Content i.e Post length matters a lot. Search engine love unique and quality post to be included in their results. Write up to at least 500-1000 words.
8. Headings like H1, H2 and H3
One should never forgot to include keywords and main lines in the headings tags such as H1,H2,H3,H4 and H5 to rank higher and good on page optimization. Thus highlight various headings, sub-headings and important points. Also, don’t repeat using H1 or H2 tags too many times, as it is considered as negative SEO practice by Matt Cutts.
9. Image SEO alt tag

11. Anchor Text
The anchor text, link label, link text, or link title is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink. The words contained in the anchor text can determine the ranking that the page will receive by search engines. This can boost your SERP’s rankings too.
12. External Outbound Links
Apart from linking to your own blog posts, it is a great idea to link out to external websites if you feel addition of links for them will help your blog readers find more and relevant information about the topic you are currently blogging about. Link to only trusted sites and you will gain more On-Page SEO benefits. Note- Add rel=”nofollow” to bad links.
13. Keywords Research (LSI Keywords)
To post an article, first of all is to do a proper keyword research and then write. Its being the best strategy to rank higher and include the Latent Semantic Indexing keywords (LSI) for some better results. Now you can use so many online tools like Google AdWords tool etc.
